Tesla has completely changed the supercar and a hypercar game and this is something we just had to talk about.
Elon Musk and Tesla unveiled the brand-new Tesla Roadster. It’s the second iteration of the Roadster from back in 2008.
This 2nd generation of Tesla Roadster is absolutely mind-bending. Tesla Roadster 0-60 in 1.9 seconds making it the quickest production car ever made.
It’s got a top speed of 250 miles an hour or more, Tesla team haven’t given us an exact number yet. And it can do a quarter-mile in under nine seconds (8.9 seconds).
Those are unheard of numbers for any sort of road-legal production car.
Tesla Roadster gets three electric motors and a 200-kilowatt battery giving it 620 miles of range on a charge which is way more than any other Tesla can do.
Now to add to that practicality, it’s got two back seats so it can fit up to four people. Although, Elon Musk did say the back seats aren’t necessarily suited for large people.
Tesla Roadster gets a removable glass panel roof that can be stored in the trunk to let your hair out and blow around 250 miles an hour winds.
So how much is Tesla Roadster going to cost?
Well, the base price for the new Tesla Roadster is $200,000 you can actually prove it right now with a $50,000 deposit.
Or if you want to be one of the first ones to get it you can buy a founders edition of the vehicle. they’re going to be 1000 founders editions made and sold for $250,000 dollars.
$200k to $250k for a vehicle is too expensive, but you’ve got to think this is the fastest production car ever made all for $200,000 which is a fraction of the millions you would spend on anything even close in that price range.
